     I think this quote reference to set a goal in your life. I think this quote means to set a goal for yourself in life to accomplish something. To be known for something or winning your goal. You could turn almost anything to a goalposts as long it is two things that apart from each other to have something to insert the goal. Place a reason of what to do that will improve yourself to be a better someone. Really doing most or anything better than nothing. Ex) my goal right now is to finish writing my reflection to post for a grade. To success in life you need to something for yourself for now and later. Finish the work you started and a thing better of it or finish it. You go far but there nothing there unless you place a thing there to finish or success.
